Sector Classification ICB
Add to reference list
The Industry Classification Benchmark groups companies that have similar primary revenue sources.
Currently, there are eleven industries, and derived from these – in increasingly finer classifications – there are 20 supersectors, 45 sectors and 173 subsectors. Each stock in the investable stock universe is uniquely classified, based on the company's primary revenue source, in one of the 173 subsectors. Consequently, it is automatically and uniquely classified into one of the 45 sectors, one of the 20 supersectors and one of the eleven industries.
